2018 Homecoming Reunion 

Celebrating the MD Classes of 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003 & 2008 at class gatherings and other engagement opportunities. There will not be formal reunion programming, but the Collegiate and Community Relations team would be thrilled to help set up an engagement opportunity for each of the classes - anything from a dinner out to a gathering at the home of a local alumnus. Homecoming Weekend in Iowa City is fast approaching and we’re once again hosting the pre-game festivities! We hope you and your family are able to join us for this year’s family-friendly breakfast tailgate for Carver College of Medicine alumni, students, and friends. As always, it will be a fun way to reconnect with your classmates and gear up to cheer on the Hawkeyes!

Iowa Medicine Homecoming Tailgate

  • Tailgate: 9 AM to 10:45 AM
    • Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF Atrium), 375 Newton Road, Iowa City
  • Kickoff: 11 AM vs Maryland

TICKETS: All of the tickets in the medicine block have been sold.

LODGING: A small block of rooms has been reserved at the Hampton Inn Coralville. To secure a room, please call 319-351-6600 and ask for the UI Carver College of Medicine Alumni block.

PARKING: Registered attendees will receive a pass via email to utilize the Newton Road Parking Ramp (located directly across the street from MERF) on game day. The ramp charges an hourly fee.

Continuing Medical Education: (Thursday and Friday, October 18-19, Graduate Hotel Iowa City (Formerly the Sheraton Hotel) on 210 S. Dubuque Street in Iowa City) 2018 Learning Together in the 21st Century Progress: Educating health care providers together to improve interprofessional patient care. Emphasizing the interprofessional team approach to patient care, this year’s program combines annual internal medicine and pharmacy continuing education programs into a single multi-track program offering plenary sessions, breakout sessions, and current hot topics in a combined, interprofessional format.
