Calling all 6-8th grade girls and their parents!

 

Girls: Now's a great time to discover STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Join us for fun, hands-on medical simulations, science experiments, and health career exploration. Create your own agenda from over 15 different sessions!

 

Parents: Join us for panel discussions and breakout sessions with University of Iowa experts on adolescent health topics and academic preparation

 

This free educational program is for girls in grades 6 through 8. Girls must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited, registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

12/9/2017 9:00am Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Type One Nation Summit

In partnership with University of Iowa Health Care, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will present the Type One Nation Summit on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Medical Education Research Facility on the University of Iowa Health Care campus. 

The JDRF TypeOneNation Summit will be the largest one-day educational and networking event of its kind in the state. This event is for all persons effected by Type 1 diabetes, their care providers (family and friends) and the medical community.

Join us for a day of education, information and inspiration. The program will include break-out sessions based on your interests. Featured speakers will be local type one diabetes professionals, world-renowned scientists and medical experts presenting on leading-edge research updates and the latest treatment advances.
