Internal Funding Opportunities for Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust Medical Research Initiative Grants and Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust Collaborative Pilot Grants
The Carver College of Medicine announces internal funding opportunities for Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust Medical Research Initiative Grants and Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust Collaborative Pilot Grants.
- Carver Trust Medical Research Initiative Grants
Award Amount Maximum: $30,000 - Carver Trust Collaborative Pilot Grants
Award Amount Maximum: $50,000
Collaborative Pilot Grant proposals should involve two investigators from different fields of research, exploring a new idea.
Purpose: Important new knowledge may be uncovered if scientists have the opportunity to explore new ideas which arise spontaneously or that emerge during the course of ongoing investigations. The purpose of these grants is to provide seed money for investigators whose developmental research shows great promise, but need "start-up" funds in order to take their programs to the level where other outside sources of funding may be pursued. Exciting new ideas and the potential for attracting extramural funding are key factors in the selection process.
Eligibility: Principal Investigator must be a faculty member in the Carver College of Medicine. Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors in the tenure, clinical and research track are eligible to apply. Associates are not eligible. Co-investigators may be non-faculty members residing outside the CCOM.
Deadline: WasT uesday, December 1, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
Questions should be directed to Angie Robertson or Jon Houtman, PhD.
