The Department of Dermatology is pleased to announce the promotion of two faculty members: Dr. Vincent Liu and Dr. Kelly Messingham.

Dr. Vincent Liu has been promoted to Clinical Professor of Dermatology.  Dr. Liu joined the faculty in 2005 as a Clinical Assistant Professor.  He earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.  He completed his dermatology residency and a fellowship in dermatopathology at the Harvard Combined Program.  In addition to his clinical and dermatopathology duties, Dr. Liu is the Dermatology Medical Student Clerkship Director.

Dr. Kelly Messingham has been promoted to Associate Research Professor.  Dr. Messingham joined the faculty in 2009 as a Research Assistant Professor.  She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Iowa State University and her Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Neurobiology and Anatomy from Loyola University Chicago.  She was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Iowa.
