Brief description of current research:

Dr. Gibson-Corley is an American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP)-boarded veterinary pathologist with nearly twelve  years of experience studying animal models of human disease. She is experienced in diagnostic and research pathology of the lung, pancreas and gastrointestinal tract, as well as neurologic and ophthalmologic pathology. She has led research studies of both small (rodent) and large animal disease models. She has contributed to Cystic Fibrosis (CF) studies using animal models for the past five years and is developing independent projects focused on organ pathologies in the CF ferret model. Dr. Gibson-Corley is currently the Director of the Comparative Pathology Laboratory (CPL) within the Department of Pathology. She oversees histotechnology services, veterinary pathology support and tissue analysis through scoring, morphometry and phenotyping in collaboration with Drs. John Engelhardt and Andrew Norris.
