Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease will affect millions of Americans in the coming years as people live longer and our population ages. With limited treatments and no cure for these diseases, there is a pressing need for progress. Join physicians and scientists from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases who are exploring the causes of neurodegeneration and using that basic science and clinical research to develop new treatments to advance care for patients and families with neurodegenerative diseases. This three-week Mini Medical School series will “simulate” medical school with hands-on activities and thought-provoking presentations to demonstrate how advances in neuroscience research are impacting quality of life.

This immersive program is designed to provide interactive experiences coupled with an engaging lecture in layman's terms breaking down cutting-edge research and biomedical discoveries at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.

$25 per person tuition covers all 3 weeks’ materials, parking, and refreshments. Space is limited, registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
