Distinguished Biomedical Scholar Lecture - Emery Brown, MD, PhD

CANCELED:  Due to a conflict with the American Pain Society meeting, we will reschedule Dr. Brown's visit to Spring 2020. 

Dr. Emery Brown, MD, PhD, will visit campus on April 3, 2019 to present a lecture on "Deciphering the Dynamics of the Unconscious Brain Under General Anesthesia" at 4:00pm in the Prem Sahai Auditorium (1110A MERF). Dr. Brown is the Edward Hood Taplin Professor of Medical Engineering and of Computational Neuroscience and Professor of Health Sciences and Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  He is also the Warren M. Zapol Professor of Anaesthesia at Havard Medical School. 

This lecture is co-sponsored by the Departments of Anesthesia and Radiology and the Iowa Neuroscience Institute.
 

The Distinguished Biomedical Scholar Lecture Series features top-tier scientists and physicians performing high-impact research in a variety of areas. Most lectures, with few exceptions, will be held on the third Thursday of each month during the academic year.
