Pain Research Program Seminar: Thomas Kash, PhD

"Probing Midbrain and Amygdala Interactions in Pain Related Behaviors" RESEARCH DESCRIPTION: Work in the Kash lab focuses on understanding how modulation in the brain can influence behavior. Our behavioral focus is on drug abuse and aversive states such as anxiety, depression and pain. We use a combination of genetic approaches to measure and manipulate discrete brain circuits with a goal of identifying mechanisms to drive more effective treatment modalities.
