Dr. Wendy Lee earned her medical degree from Tulane University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master of Science degree from Georgetown University. She completed her residency and internship at Tulane University, and a fellowship in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Dr. Lee treats a broad spectrum of oculoplastic disorders, including periocular tumors, infection and inflammation, facial trauma, tearing, and eyelid malpositions. In addition, Dr. Lee provides aesthetic services, including ptosis surgery; blepharoplasty; brow and forehead lifts; botulinum toxin injections, dermal fillers, and photorejuvenation.

Dr. Lee dedicates time to teaching and is co-director of UM Cosmetic Medicine. Her research interests include eyelid reconstruction, aging of the eyelid skin, and aesthetic lasers.


The series of clinical conferences sponsored by the Department of Ophthalmology presents updated information on a broad spectrum of clinical issues and approaches that are of value and interest to the practicing ophthalmologist.

Continuing Medical Education 

CME ACCREDITATION: In support of improving patient care, the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team.

A $70 fee will be charged for continuing education credit to those physicians who are not members of the Iowa Eye Association. (The CME fee for Iowa Eye Association members is covered by your annual dues payment.) The CME Fee is payable through the registration process.
