January NGS User Group to discuss Single Cell Analysis using NGS

The Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) User group seminar is set for Wednesday, January 25 at 2:00 pm in the first floor auditorium in Pappajohn Biomedical Discovery Building (1459 PBDB).  The presentation is titled, "New approaches to Single Cell Analysis using Next Generation Sequencing."

Single-cell RNA-Seq (scRNA-Seq) has become a powerful technique to capture the transcriptional activity of the individual cell types present in a complex biological system. Single-cell transcriptional profiling studies performed using the Bio-Rad Droplet DigitalTM Technology with Illumina’s NGS platform will be presented. Key technical elements involved in performing a successful single-cell profiling experiment (from cell collection through data analysis) will be featured.
