Suneja and Rowat, CarlLee Awarded Innovation Funds

Internal Medicine Residency Program Director Dr. Manish Suneja, Educational Director Jane Rowat, and Chief Resident Dr. Sheena CarlLee have received funding for new education-related projects from the Graduate Medical Education Innovation Fund Committee. Dr. Suneja and Ms. Rowat’s proposal “Interdisciplinary Intern EPA-based OSCE with Automated Just-in-Time Feedback” will further refine the Objective Structured Clinical Examinations, described in this blog post. Dr. CarlLee’s funded proposal is titled “TIRED—Technology and Teaching to Improve Resident Wellness and Education.” Each of them will present on their progress in the poster session at next spring’s GME Leadership Symposium.

The GME Education Innovation Fund supports innovative projects and fosters shared scholarship within and outside the walls of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Proposals are funded on the basis of clarity, feasibility, and potential impact. Congratulations to Dr. Suneja, Ms. Rowat, and Dr. CarlLee!
