Dr. Milena Gebska, Clinical Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, is assuming the role of Sub-Internship Course Director. Dr. Ellen Gordon is stepping down from this role upon her retirement. Her long tenure has made this course one of the most successful courses in the college. We wish Dr. Gordon all the best in her retirement.

Dr. Gebska received her MD from the Medical University of Silesia in Poland, and her PhD from the University of London. Last year she received the University of Iowa Physicians (UIP) Clinical Award for Best Consulting Provider, demonstrating her excellent clinical skills.

In addition, Dr. Gebska has been an outstanding role model to countless students over the years, and we are confident that in this new formal position as Director of the Sub-Internship, she will continue to guide and shape our next generation of physicians.
