Dr. Steven Lentz has recently been elected Chair of the Council on Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology (ATVB), one of the largest and most active councils of the American Heart Association. This global organization engages members working in a variety of capacities from discovery science to clinical research. The council also organizes a yearly conference at which members from around the world are invited to present cutting-edge discoveries.

Dr. Lentz hopes to increase membership in ATVB and has recently put out a call to all clinicians, scientists, and trainees in the field to join. Members interact on a variety of projects from career development and mentorship to collaboration and discussions on research projects. The council is also affiliated with the prestigious, high-impact journal that shares its name and consistently features rigorously vetted breakthroughs and research findings.
