  • HOMEWORK: Find an opportunity to try specific learning climate behaviors in your teaching and reflect on the effectiveness of the learning climate behaviors you use. If you are not directly involved in teaching this month, please observe and analyze the learning climate of another teacher and note specific learning climate behaviors and their effectiveness. Reflect upon your experience with learning climate and come prepared to discuss at our next session. FACE participants not directly involved in clinical teaching this month can either ask learners about their experiences with Learning Climate and/or reflect on how these skills could be applied to their interactions with learners and colleagues.

  • HOMEWORK: Find an opportunity to give feedback using some of the specific feedback behaviors you have learned and reflect on the effectiveness of the feedback you give. If you are not directly involved in teaching this month, please practice giving feedback in a different setting (to significant others, friends, family etc.) using some of the specific feedback behaviors you have learned. Reflect upon your experience with giving feedback and come prepared to discuss at our next session.   • HOMEWORK: Apply one of the clinical reasoning teaching tools either with learners you are teaching or observe how clinical teachers you have contact with teach clinical reasoning. Also, find an opportunity to promote self-directed learning (SDL) using some of the specific teaching behaviors that help promote SDL. Reflect upon your experience with clinical reasoning and SDL and come prepared to discuss at our next session.
