Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology Faculty Positions

The University of Iowa Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology is seeking a candidate for a non-tenure faculty position as a Research Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic missions of teaching and research, interface with corporate sponsored research, and conduct research in the area of cystic fibrosis pathophysiology and molecular therapies for this disorder. The position will involve independently pursuing funding, performing research experiments and theoretical investigations, analyzing data, liaison with industrial sponsored research, and disseminating research findings. The work will require expertise in cell biology, genetics, animal models, neuroendocrine systems, and gene therapy. Key areas of responsibility include some experimentation, data/research analysis and evaluation, dissemination of research results in publication form, research proposals/grants, assist in supervising/mentoring students and other research collaborators in the laboratory.
