Warthin Tumor

  •  Also known as: papillary cystadenoma lymphomatosum, adenolymphoma, or lymphomatous adenoma
  •  Benign, slow-growing, with histopath demonstrating papillary structures with mature lymphocytic infiltrate and cystic structures
  •  Look for: sharply marginated parotid tail mass with inhomogeneity
  •  Typicall 2-4 cm, can grow to over 10 cm
  •  Should not calcify
  •  Multiple, bilateral, and or metachronous/synchronous lesions 20% of cases
  •  2nd most common benign parotid tumor
  •  90% of those with this tumor smoke
  •  Mean presentation age is 60, male to female ratio is 3:1
