Professor Lee-Ann Allen has been appointed as the Kate Daum Professor. The appointment is effective from July 2018 - June 2022.  The endowed professorship was established by the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine to recognize outstanding women scientists and is given once every four years.  The professorship honors Kate Daum, PhD, who directed the UI Nutrition Department 1927-1955 and helped pave the way for female scientists at the UI.
