Weidemann, Stewart, Maity and Mukoda receive travel awards to attend EB 2014 Conf

Ben Weidemann, undergraduate student in Dr. Justin Grobe's laboratory, received a travel award for his project entitled "The brain renin-angiotensin system suppresses digestive efficiency."  This is his final component of his APS Undergraduate Research Fellowship (UGREF).

Adele Stewart, B.S., graduate student in Dr. Rory Fisher's laboratory, received an ASBMB travel award for her project entitled "Regulator of G protein signaling 6 (RGS6) promotes anxiety and depression by attenuating serotonin-mediated activation of the 5-HT1A receptor-adenylyl cyclase axis."

Biswanath Maity, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Rory Fisher's laboratory, received an ASBMB travel award for his project entitled "RGS6 suppresses cellular transformation by oncogenic Ras through a Tip60-Dnmt1-apoptosis dependent mechanism."

Masashi Mukoda, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Curt Sigmund's laboratory, received an ASBMB travel award for his project entitled "Mutation in the PPARG ligand binding domain impairs PPARG-mediated turnover of the p65 subunit of NF-κB."
