Dr. Biswanath Maity, a postdoctoral scholar in Dr. Fisher’s laboratory, has received a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the American Heart Association for his project titled “Mechanisms of RGS6-mediated, alcohol-induced cardiomyopathy.”  Dr. Maity's project is aimed at systematically dissecting the mechanisms underlying the protective effects of RGS6 gene deletion on ethanol induced heart damage.
