Drs. Keisuke Shinohara and Masashi Mukoda each received a New Investigator Award, and Dr. Fusakazu Jo received a New Investigator Award for Japanese Fellows at the recent scientific sessions of the Council on Hypertension of the American Heart Association in San Francisco. Keisuke gave an oral presentation entitled “Selective Knockout of the Intracellular Isoform of Renin in the Brain Contributes to Metabolic and Cardiovascular Control”.  Fusa gave an oral presentation entitled “Role of Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in the Subfornical Organ (SFO) in Fluid Balance and Metabolic Effects of Brain Renin-Angiotensin System (RAS) Activation”. Masashi presented a poster entitled “Mutation in the PPARG Ligand Binding Domain Impairs PPARG-Mediated Turnover of the p65 Subunit of NF-kB”. All three were recognized at the awards luncheon and we add our congratulations.
