Stefan Strack was awarded a 3-year, $1.7 M grant from Jordan’s Guardians Angels, a private foundation that supports research on Jordan’s Syndrome. Jordan’s Syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder associated with intellectual disability and autism that is caused by de novo, autosomal-dominant missense mutations in a protein phosphatase 2A regulatory subunit. The goals of this project are to generate cell and mouse models of the disorder and to characterize them to reveal pathogenic mechanisms and potential therapeutic interventions.
