Preeclampsia Researchers from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Departments of Pharmacology (Curt Sigmund, PhD & Justin Grobe, PhD), Ob/Gyn (Mark Santillan, MD) and Health and Human Physiology (Gary Pierce, PhD) advocated on Capitol Hill, Tuesday May 12, 2015 for increased funding for medical research and research on women’s health.  The team met directly with Congressman Dave Loebsack, Congressman David Young, and Senator Charles Grassley, and with legislative assistants for Congressman Rod Blum, Congressman Steve King and Senator Joni Ernst.  The team spent Monday, May 11, meeting with Division and Program Directors at the NICHD and NHLBI.
