UI Women's Health Seeking Certified Nurse Midwife

The University of Iowa Women’s Health Nurse-Midwifery Service is seeking a highly qualified Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join us as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Applicants must have a Master’s degree and be committed to patient care and medical student and resident education. If Master’s degree is not in nursing, but a related field, a baccalaureate degree in nursing is required. Applicant must be certified or eligible to be certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and hold credentials to obtain a RN/ARNP license in Iowa.

Applicants must possess excellent midwifery inpatient/outpatient clinical skills, with demonstrated experience in obstetric inpatient care, excellent verbal and written communication skills, must share on-call responsibilities, and be willing and able to commute to an off-site clinic locations in the Iowa City area. Previous experience with teaching in an academic medical setting and the demonstrated ability and /or potential to excel at scholarship and teaching are highly desirable. Spanish speaking skills are desirable.
