OCRME has been charged with overseeing the Educational Innovation and Scholarship Grants to support innovation and research in health sciences education in 2022.
All Carver College of Medicine faculty are encouraged to submit a proposal!
Individual proposals may request up to $20,000, but may be combined to request up to $60,000 across departments or programs.
Funding may be used for:
- Data collection and analysis
- Specialized software
- Dedicated equipment
- Specialized services (e.g. simulated patients)
- Student or staff support*
Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling schedule throughout 2022, and all funds must be encumbered (though not necessarily spent) in CY 2022.
Grantees will also be expected to participate in regular program activities, including a one-day educational research symposium on November 3, 2022.
*Note: Funding may not be used for faculty salaries.
