Dr. Siegfried “Siggy” Janz has been appointed to permanent membership of the Cancer Genetics Study Section, Center for Scientific Review (CSR), NIH, for the 4-year term beginning on July 1, 2017.  According to CSR’s director, Dr. Richard Nakamura, study section members are selected on the basis of their scientific competence and achievements as evidenced by quality of research, publications, achievements and honors.  Service on a study section also requires mature judgment, objectivity and ability to work in a group – qualities, Dr. Nakamura believes, Dr. Janz will bring to this task.
