The Phlebotomy team has been awarded the first Under the Scope Award in October 2017!

The UIHC Phlebotomy team provides services in multiple inpatient care areas and two outpatient draw stations, including 24/7 services in the NICU. Over the past year, the Phlebotomy staff have faced numerous challenges including extended hours of operation, staffing challenges due to high census, and increased demand for timely phlebotomy services for patients prioritized for discharge. Through these challenges the staff all pitched in to help out however possible, won a UI Health Care award for most improved hand hygiene in July, and their teamwork and positive attitudes were also an inspiration for creating the Under the Scope Award.  Your hard work is very much appreciated!
