Drs. Anne Kwitek, Ph.D., and Kamal Rahmouni, Ph.D., Associate Professors of Pharmacology received another year of funding from the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center. Dr. Kwitek’s project was awarded for studies of how a high-fat diet alters the expression of genes that contribute to the metabolic syndrome and Dr. Rahmouni will continue to study the mechanism involved in insulin signaling affect glucose homeostasis and diabetes.
