Associate Professor Justin L. Grobe, PhD was selected in December 2017 to receive an Established Investigator Award from the American Heart Association.  As described by the AHA, this career development award “is designed to support mid-career investigators with unusual promise and established records of accomplishments; candidates have a demonstrated commitment to cardiovascular or cerebrovascular science as indicated by prior publication history and scientific accomplishments.  A candidate's career is expected to be in a rapid growth phase.”  The grant provides five years of salary and laboratory support for the Grobe lab and will permit the acquisition and deployment of new tools to accelerate novel directions of inquiry.
