Letter from the Division Director

Welcome to the Psychology Division! Within the Department of Psychiatry, the Division of Psychology is an integral part of the outstanding teaching, clinical service delivery, research, and leadership at UIHC and the Carver College of Medicine. The Division of Psychology includes more than 20 licensed psychologists and individuals with doctoral degrees in psychology, comprising around a quarter of the faculty in the department. Members of our division provide services across a wide range of conditions, from perinatal mood and anxiety to eating disorders, metastatic disease, brain injury, pediatric pain, and much more. These services are provided in a variety of settings including individual therapy, groups, inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization, to people across the human lifespan.

The research interests within the division are also varied and include Huntington’s disease, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, telemedicine, and vascular and pulmonary functioning and cognition. Each person in our division is committed to excellence in his or her work. I invite you to spend time learning more about our impressive psychology group.
