Kendall Keck, MD, General Surgery research resident in the Dept. of Surgery, has been announced as the winner of the Best Basic Science Paper Award at the 2017 meeting of the American Assocation of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES). The meeting of the AAES was held in Orlando, Florida, from April 2nd to April 4, 2017. Dr. Keck's paper was based on research done in the lab of Dr. James Howe, Professor of Surgery and Director of the Division of Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery. Dr. Keck's award is the third time this award has been won by a resident from Dr. Howe's lab since 2013. The Dept. of Surgery extends its congratulations to Drs. Keck and Howe for this remarkable achievement.
