Scott-Conner to receive 2015 Regents Award for Faculty Excellence

Carol Scott-Conner, MD, PhD, MBA, professor of surgical oncology and endocrine surgery has been selected to receive a 2015 Regents Award for Faculty Excellence. The award recognizes a tenured faculty member with a sustained record of excellence across the spectrum of teaching, scholarship and service.

The Regents Award for Faculty Excellence was established in 1990 by the Board of Regents, State of Iowa in cooperation with the Faculty Senates of the three Regents institutions. The award provides a state-wide forum in which the excellence of faculty members is recognized and shared with colleagues from other Regents institutions. The University of Iowa will selects up to six faculty members each year for this award and beginning in 1999, the UI will award each recipient a $1,000 one-time stipend.
