 William John Sharp, MD, professor of surgery, has been named the 2014 Ernest O. Theilen Clinical Teaching and Service Award recipient.

Presented annually by the Carver College of Medicine, the Theilen Award recognizes a faculty member who is a dedicated physician, unselfish advocate of the College, and a thoughtful member of the UI Health Care community and team.

Dr. Sharp will be formally presented with the award during an evening Faculty Award Banquet on February 25, 2015.
