The Holden Cancer Center (HCCC) has more than 100 faculty members with laboratories from throughout the University of Iowa who are engaged in basic and translational cancer research. In addition to laboratory work, many faculty members are also clinicians, directly caring for patients with the same cancer they study.  The HCCC promotes interactive, high-quality cancer research, high-quality health care related to the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer, and educates cancer professionals and Iowa citizens about cancer.
