- Supine on 3080 operating room table in reverse orientation
- Scrolled towel or donut under head
- Shoulder roll may be placed to hyperextend the neck depending on the surgical procedure
- Arms may be placed on padded arm boards at sides or positioned at sides with drawsheet, foam, and elbow guards depending on procedure
- At least one safety strap aligned across thighs with foam; additional safety straps should be applied for ear procedures and when the table will be turned during the procedure
- Pillows placed under lower thighs and knees avoiding pressure on popliteal artery and perineal nerve
- Convoluted booties or foam applied under ankles to elevate heels
- Foley catheter and sequential compression device may be requested if the duration of the procedure or the patient's condition indicate
