My Life My Story is a national initiative to provide humanistic and patient-centered medical care. Veterans are interviewed about their life story which is then filed in their medical chart for healthcare providers to read. Over 5,000 stories have been collected nationwide across 60 VA medical centers. This group supports the Iowa City Veteran Hospital's My Life My Story program by providing volunteers who interview and document veterans' stories.
