We encourage you to read examples for specialties in addition to your own. There are many approaches to writing a statement, so find your favorite (but write a good one, so we can include it--without identifiers, of course--on this page.)

Keep in mind: As you read these, remember that there is a wide range of ways to write a personal statement.  Some of the examples below are more narrative and literary, and some are more business-like.  Don't panic--there's no one way to write a personal statement.
