If so, come join the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Interest Group at the University of Iowa. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation offers exciting opportunities in musculoskeletal and rehabilitation medicine.
Anyone interested in learning more about this specialty and how as a physiatrist, (‘fiz-e-a-trist’) you can directly improve care for nearly ALL other patients within the hospital are welcome to attend monthly group meetings.
Medical students who are planning on matching in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation will receive a free student membership to the Association of Academic Physiatrists (which includes a journal subscription to the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) courtesy of the Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation.
We will discuss opportunities in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, conduct various musculoskeletal workshops, and provide resources for those applying to residency.
