The Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) Provider Course sponsored by OSCEP on behalf of the UI-Affiliated Family Medicine Residency Programs. Each year, we hold a course in Iowa City and Des Moines.

Faculty from each of the participating Iowa residency programs volunteer their time to teach the course.  The course is primarily for residents and faculty of the residency programs. If participant space is available, non-residency physicians or nurses may attend.

Registration fees

• Residency participant: $350
• Non-Residency Participant: $400

Cancellation Policy

Because the course is run on a cost-recovery basis, a participant who is no longer able to attend will be provided a refund according to the following guidelines:

• A full refund can be provided if cancellation is made 14 days prior to the live course date AND the online component has not been started.
• A partial refund (AAFP/ALSO fee only) can be provided if cancellation is made within 14 days of the live course date AND the online component has not been started.
• A partial refund (registration fee only) can be provided if cancellation is made 14 days prior to the live course date AND the online component has been started.
• No refund can be provided if cancellation is made within 14 days of the live course date AND the online component has been started.
