Community Service

Community Service, a community outreach division of Office of Statewide Clinical Education Programs (OSCEP), offers a number of ongoing programs and non-clinical services to Iowa communities and health care providers. For more than 25 years, University of Iowa relationships with community physicians and health care organizations have been enabled by the Community Service Division. This long-time effort has resulted in a high level of creditability and trust for OSCEP and for the University Of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.

The Medical Practice Development Program

The Medical Practice Development Program offers a wide variety of services to Iowa communities and to physicians seeking practice in Iowa.

Physician Consultation Services

The Office of Statewide Clinical Education Programs (OSCEP) provides assistance and consultative services to physicians seeking Iowa medical practice opportunities.

Practice Support and Technical Assistance

OSCEP provides services in the area of physician recruitment and medical practice technical assistance to physicians, hospitals and community groups.

Rural Physician Support Program

The Rural Physician Support Program provides rural Iowa communities a wide range of medical practice support services including practice coverage.

The Office of Statewide Clinical Education Programs creates and publishes the Iowa Practice Opportunities Directories. OSCEP is knowledgeable about many of the communities and practice positions listed in the Directory.
