The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued to the University of Iowa Physician Assistant Program sponsored by University of Iowa. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accreditated program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.

ARC-PA is dedicated to fostering excellence in Physician Assistant/Associate (PA) education. Through our rigorous accreditation process, we set and uphold the highest standards of quality for educational programs. Accreditation is awarded to programs following a thorough peer review process, which includes comprehensive documentation and periodic on-site evaluations. These evaluations ensure compliance with the Accreditation Standards for Physician Assistant Education.*

Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2033. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Standards and ARC-PA policy.

The program's accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website at http://www.arc-pa.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Accreditation-History-Univ-of-Iowa-69.pdf.
