Research Interests
- Cardiovascular Physiology: Mechanisms of blood flow regulation to skeletal muscle during exercise and the influence of aging and cardiovascular related diseases in altering this regulation.
- Interventional approaches: Studying the effects of various interventions (e.g. exercise, pharmacotherapy) on vascular endothelial function and arterial stiffness in cardiovascular disease and aging.
- Arterial Stiffness and Central Artery Hemodynamics: Influence of sex, aging and alterations in sympathetic nervous system activity on measures of arterial stiffness and aortic wave reflection.
