Research Interests

  • The long-term goal of my research is to improve care for chronic musculoskeletal conditions through the evaluation and treatment of peripheral and central nervous system contributors to pain.
  • My clinical experience in orthopaedic physical therapy and research training in biomechanics and ultrasound imaging have prepared me to rigorously evaluate peripheral sources of pain.
  • My postdoctoral work and career development award is providing essential training in the evaluation of pain mechanisms in the central nervous system and treatment using a randomized controlled trial design.
