Commencement Ceremony and Reception

The College of Medicine’s Bachelor of Science commencement ceremony will be held at 6:30 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Hancher Auditorium. The doors will open at 5:30 pm. Graduates should arrive by 6:00 pm. Candidates earning a Bachelor of Sciences degree in the Radiation Sciences, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Medical Laboratory Sciences majors will be recognized. Tickets are not required and guest seating is not reserved.

Anyone with family or friends who use a wheelchair should contact the Radiation Sciences Office Student Affairs by May 1 to arrange specific seating, radiation-sciences@uiowa.edu, 319-353-8388. A sign language interpreter will be on-stage to interpret the ceremony.

Upon conclusion of the commencement ceremony, a reception will be held in the Hancher Stanley Café.  Heavy hors d’oeuvres, not a full meal, will be provided.  There is no cost to attend the ceremony or reception.
