Health Sciences Research Day

Submit An Abstract Here for Posters and Mini-Syposia!


The Carver College of Medicine Research Day will be April 26, 2024.

The event will include a poster session and mini-symposia, and abstracts from all disciplines are welcome. 
This event is open to the public.

Featuring Keynote Speaker James McClain, PhD, MPH.

Dr. James McClain, Ph.D., M.P.H., serves as Deputy Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the NIH All of Us Research Program. James was a member of the initial team charged with implementation of the now All of Us Research Program since 2015. James oversees the design and development of a portfolio of technologies to enroll and retain a diverse cohort, enable ancillary studies, and drive research data access and opportunities. Prior to joining All of Us, James worked in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences in the National Cancer Institute since 2007 with an award portfolio and research focus on remote monitoring and assessment methods for research and clinical care management.

Abstract: Submit on one page, NIH format, or use this File Sample Template.
Poster: 4 X 6 foot maximum dimensions
We encourage abstracts focusing on research topics across all biomedical science including basic, translational, clinical, and informatics.

Mini-Symposia Talks are 10 min. in length.  The CCOM Office of Research will invite those selected to give a talk from abstracts submitted.  
Please Note: Individuals submitting an abstract must be able to attend and present their poster.

Deadline Extended! Abstracts must be submitted by 5:00pm on Friday, April 5, 2024 to be considered for mini-symposia. 
Poster abstracts will be accepted until April 19, but space may be limited; early submissions will be prioritized.
