Interview with Sam Young Jr., PhD, CACNA1A Foundation 2023 Grant Recipient

Professor Young is Vice Chair for research in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology and director of molecular auditory research in the Department of Otolaryngology. His cutting-edge research “Development of novel gene therapies to treat CACNA1A disorders” focuses on building molecular tools that can package and deliver the #CACNA1A gene safely and effectively to the brain. This is a crucial first step in the development of a future gene replacement therapy for CACNA1A-related disorders. Want to learn more?
