Amanda Decker successfully passed her Ph.D. examination on Thursday, October 8, 2015, in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. Her thesis title was "The role of the ion channel TRPM7 in dopaminergic neuron function".
The University of Iowa, Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Deeded Body Program, held its annual memorial service for those individuals whose bodies we utilized for educational and research purposes at the UI during the past year, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25, at Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City, Iowa.
Douglas Busich successfully passed his Ph.D. examination on Thursday, July 16, 2015, in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. His thesis title was "Dual roles for an intracellular calcium-signaling pathway in regulating synaptic homeostasis and neuronal excitability".
