Those are just a few of the questions being considered by two UI Health Care employees leading the PREVENT study: Nick Mohr, MD, MS, professor of emergency medicine and anesthesia, and Brett Faine, PharmD, MS, emergency medicine clinical pharmacy specialist.

“The overall goal for PREVENT is to understand how we would expect transmission within a population to change as that population is vaccinated,” says Mohr, PREVENT co-principal investigator. “The effectiveness within populations is something that can only be answered using this method.”
