Nathan Mohar (Wallrath Lab) won 2nd place oral presentation at the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Genetics retreat on September 29, 2023. The title of Nathan's presentation was "DNA sequence variation in SMAD7 enhances LMNA-associated skeletal muscle disease severity and implicates TGFβ signaling as a therapeutic target. Lori Wallrath, Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, was awarded a three-year grant from the Muscular Dystrophy Association to study genetic modifiers of LMNA-associated muscular dystrophy. Congratulations!
