Dr. James Folk was elected as President of the Macula Society at the society’s annual meeting in Singapore. Founded in 1977, the Macula Society has nearly 450 national and international members who specialize in retinal vascular and macular diseases. Membership is very competitive with only about 20 new members selected for membership each year.
“I am deeply honored to have been elected President of this prestigious society. I want to thank Dr. Keith Carter and my Vitreoretinal colleagues, Drs. Abramoff, Boldt, Gehrs, Han, Russell, Sohn, and Stone for their immense support.”
