The Department of Family Medicine would like to announce that Dr. Katie Imborek has accepted the position of Vice Chair of Clinical Operations.

To highlight some of the expertise that she brings to the table for those of you who are less familiar with her.

She is a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and the Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa. She completed her residency in our Department from 2008—2011 and served as a Chief Resident during her third year of training.

Since that time, she has served in a number of leadership roles for the Department and University including serving as Medical Director at a number of our clinics, Medical Director of UI eCare, Co-Director of the UI Health Care LGBTQ Clinic, and the Director of Offsite Primary Care.

She will bring these experiences to the table as she works to continue to improve and expand our clinical enterprise.

In the near future, an updated Department Organization Chart will be provided with additional guidance on the scope of her position.
